HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The John Carroll Univeristy Women's Tennis Team picked up a 7-2 victory over Emory & Henry College (3-5) Tuesday afternoon at Hilton Head High School.

The Blue Streaks took a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles completion, to put them in control of the match.

In the singles portion, sophomore Alyssa Wingate (Independence, Va.) won by a (6-2, 6-2) score over Cassie Simmelink at number one and sophomore Emily Bolt (Independence, Va.) took home a  (7-6 (5), 7-5) victory in a tight match over Katelyn Hill.

The Wasps will return to action on Thursday when they face off against Regis College of Massachusetts.
