EMORY, Va. - The University of Virginia's College at Wise Women's Tennis Team picked up an 8-1 victory in non-conference action over Emory & Henry College (6-12) Thursday afternoon.

The Highland Cavaliers picked up wins at all three doubles flights and won five of the six singles matches to claim the victory.

Emory & Henry sophomore Alyssa Wingate (Independence, Va.) took a (6-1, 6-2) win at number one singles for the Wasps' lone victory of the match.

E&H will conclude the regular season on Saturday at noon when it travels to Lynchburg College for an ODAC match against the Hornets.
