EMORY, Va. – The Randolph-Macon College Women's Tennis Team (2-3, 1-1 ODAC) handed Emory & Henry College (6-1, 0-1 ODAC) its first loss of the year, 5-4, Sunday afternoon at Richardson Tennis Courts.

R-MC took a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the match. Freshman Stella Di Michele (San Remo, ITALY) and sophomore Taylor Evans (Weber City, Va.) tallied an 8-4 win at the top doubles pairing to give the Wasps their point.

Di Michele won at No. 1 singles, 6-0 6-1, while Evans claimed a 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) win at the third singles flight. Sophomore Meredith Yeary (Knoxville, Tenn.) gave E&H its final point of the day, winning at No. 4 singles, 7-5 4-1 (ret.).

Emory & Henry will next take the court on Monday, March 10 when it faces off against Wittenberg University in Hilton Head, S.C. The match is set for a noon start.
