E&H Women's Tennis Drops Final Match of Season, 9-0, Thursday Afternoon

Ashland, Va. - The Emory & Henry women's tennis team (2-10, 1-10 ODAC) fell in their season finale at Randolph-Macon College (13-3, 9-2 ODAC), 9-0.  After a promising start to the season, the Wasps unfortunately dropped their final eight matches.

At one doubles, Lauren Riner (Coeburn, Va.) and Danielle Amoruso (Orange County, Va.) did not manage to win a game, as they fell 8-0.  Sheyenne Cleveland (Rural Retreat, Va.) and Kala Curtis (Locust Grove, Va.) lost 8-1 at the two spot.  Three doubles was awarded to Randolph-Macon by default.

Riner fell to Randolph-Macon's top flight, 6-0, 6-0.  The sophomore was able to win four singles matches on the year, which was good for third on the team.  At two, Cleveland went down, 6-1, 6-0.  Amoruso was only able to win one game, but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-0.  Curtis and Alyssa Lambert (Pulaski, Va.) both lost their matches, 6-0, 6-0, at the four and five spot, respectively. Six singles was lost by default for the Wasps.
