EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team (2-2, 0-0 ODAC) picked up a 9-0 victory in a home match versus Ferrum College (0-2, 0-0 USA South). The Wasps picked up their second sweep of the season.
Doubles
-Lauren Riner (Coeburn, Va.) and Savanna Summers (Bluff City, Tenn.) started off the match with an 8-6 victory at one doubles.
-Liz Graham (Bristol, Va.) and Ana-Belen Gomez (San Antonio, Texas) won 8-4 at two doubles.
-Kaitlyn Sheaves (Staunton, Va.) and Katie Meade (Coeburn,, Va.) swept their opponents, 8-0, at three doubles.
Singles
-Riner went to three sets, but finished on top, 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.
-Graham blew by her opponent at two singles, 6-0, 6-0.
-Summers, also swept her opponent, 6-0, 6-0, at three singles.
-Gomez took out her opponent, 6-1, 6-2.
-Meade earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at five singles
-To end the day, Sheaves won, 6-0, 6-0, at six singles
