EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry women's team (2-2) picked up a dominant win over William Peace (0-3) Friday afternoon. The win is the second on the season for the young Wasps team.
Doubles
- Katie Meade (Coeburn, Va.) and Kaitlyn Sheaves (Staunton, Va.) defeated their opponents, 8-3, at one singles.
- Bri Pierce (Purlear, N.C.) and Kala Curtis (Locust Grove, Va.) made quick work of their foes at two doubles with an 8-0 shut out victory.
- Three doubles was forfeited to the Wasps
Singles
- Sheaves picked up a quick 6-1, 6-0 victory at one singles for the Wasps.
- Pierce also cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win.
- Senior Curtis had a 6-0, 6-0 shut out win at three singles.
- Ellington King (Versailles, Ky.) won, 6-0, 6-1, at four singles.
- At five singles, Kelsey Holt (Staffordsville, Va.) dominated her opponent in a 6-0, 6-0 win.
The Wasps will host ODAC foe, Bridgewater College at home on Sunday, March 18th on Richardson Tennis Courts.
