EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team (7-4, 4-4 ODAC) moved ever closer to clinching a spot in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament with a 9-0 win over visiting Randolph College (2-12, 1-9 ODAC) Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
Emory & Henry started the match with a 2-0 lead as Randolph only had five players in action. The Wasps extended their advantage to 4-0 through doubles as sophomore Payton Holt (Mount Ulla, N.C.) and freshman Tess Flanigan (Marietta, Ga.) blanked their opponents, 8-0, at No. 1.

In singles action, Holt and Flanigan both had 6-1, 6-0 wins at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Freshman Molly McMichael (Riner, Va.), sophomore Sarah Marion (Dobson, N.C.) and junior Cailie Pollard (Rural Retreat, Va.) each won their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores to complete the sweep.
