KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team evened its season record at 2-2 with a 5-2 win at Johnson University (0-2) Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Emory & Henry opened up a 1-0 lead by taking two of the three doubles matches. Junior Payton Holt (Mount Ulla, N.C.) and freshman Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) won 6-2 at the top flight while freshmen Bronwyn McAlindon (Kingsport, Tenn.) and Ann Gray Purdue (Bluefield, Va.) grabbed a 6-2 victory at No. 3.

Singles play saw the Wasps seal the victory as they took four of the six flights. Chernega earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at the premier pairing while sophomore Tess Flanigan (Marietta, Ga.) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. Senior Logan Graham (Radford, Va.) picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at the fourth flight while junior Bailey King (Marion, Va.) won her match 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-3) with a third-set super tiebreak.
