BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team (1-0) grabbed four of six singles matches on its way to a 4-3 win over Southern Virginia University (0-1) Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Junior Molly McMichael (Riner, Va.) and freshman Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) grabbed a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles but the other two pairings went the way of the Knights as they earned the doubles point and a 1-0 lead in the match.

In singles action, junior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) won a three-set thriller (6-2, 5-7, 6-0) at No. and Williams was victorious (6-4, 6-2) at the fourth flight.

Freshman Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5 and the match was clinched at the sixth position by sophomore Ann Gray Perdue (Bluefield, Va.) as she earned the 6-4, 6-4 win.
