EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Women's Tennis Team (3-0) defeated King (Tenn.) University (1-1) on Monday afternoon by a score of 4-3.

How It Happened
- The Wasps took the doubles point as they won both of the top seed matches and took the third by default. Freshman Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) and Junior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) teamed up at the No. 1 doubles position for a 6-4 victory. Sophomore Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) and freshman Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) combined for a 6-3 at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point. Freshman Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) and junior Molly McMichael (Riner, Va.) won the No. 3 doubles spot by default.
- In singles play, Bergmann took the win at No. 4 singles by a 6-2, 6-3 scoreline while Williams won by default at the No. 5 position. Sophomore Ann Gray Perdue (Bluefield, Va.) clinched the victory with a win by default at the No. 6 spot.
