BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (2-4) and Women's Tennis Team (2-3) split a pair of non-conference matches with Midway University Tuesday afternoon at the Ida Jones Tennis Center in Bristol, Tennessee. The men's squad defeated the Eagles 4-2 while the women fell 4-1.

Women's Match
- The Eagles won matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the doubles point and establish a 1-0 lead.
- Sophomore Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) was victorious at No. 3 singles, taking down her opponent by a 7-5, 7-5 scoreline.
- Sophomore Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) battled at No. 2 singles, but eventually fell by a 7-5, 5-7, 0-1 (10-12) score after an epic third-set tiebreaker.
- Sophomore Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) won the opening set of her match, but it was abandoned because of time constraints with the score at 6-4, 4-5.
Men's Match
- The doubles partnership of sophomore Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) and junior Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.) dominated their opponents at No. 1 doubles 6-1. Sophomore Diego Alvarez (Bogota, COLOMBIA) and freshman Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) won a thriller by a 7-6 (7-4) margin at No. 3 doubles to give the Wasps the 1-0 advantage.
- Parhar picked up a win at No. 1 singles, dispatching Daniel Pinzon of Midway 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) in a hard-fought three-set match.
- Smith dominated German Collado at No. 2 singles by a wide 7-5, 6-0 margin.
- Alvarez defeated Owen McCarter in straight sets at No. 6 singles 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) to clinch the win for E&H.
