BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (2-16, 0-10 SAC) and Women's Tennis Team (3-14, 1-9 SAC) each fell in South Atlantic Conference action to Anderson (S.C.) University Saturday afternoon. The Trojans' men's team defeated the Wasps 5-2, while the women's team took the 6-1 decision.

Men's Match
- The doubles team of sophomore Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) and freshman Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) took down JP Goncalves Mendes and Hamp Goldman at No. 1 singles 6-3. The Trojans won the other two doubles matches for the 1-0 advantage.
- Parhar dispatched Vicent Mico Fenollar at No. 1 singles 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) for his sixth straight singles win.
- Junior Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.) earned a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles over Goncalves Mendes by a 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (9-7) margin.
- Sophomore Diego Alvarez (Bogota, COLOMBIA) dropped a tough 2-6, 5-7 decision at No. 6 singles to Patrick Cronin.
Women's Match
- The team of freshman Meghan Moore (Midlothian, Va.) and junior Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) defeated Alexandria Braithwaite and Laura Alvarez Tello 6-4 at No. 3 doubles. The Trojans earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the 1-0 lead after the doubles portion of the match.
- Sophomore Katie Bradley (Auchterarder, SCOTLAND) bested Elena Ronconi at No. 5 singles by an 8-6 scoreline.
- Chernega fell 6-7 (4-7), 3-6 to Mariam Bayatyan at No. 1 singles.
- Senior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) fell 5-7, 5-7 to Braithwaite at the No. 2 singles position.
- Sophomore Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) battled, but came up short in three sets to Katie Robeson at No. 3 singles by a 4-6, 6-3, 0-1 (4-10) final.
