ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Tennis Team has been selected to finish 12th in the South Atlantic Conference this season, conference officials announced Friday. The poll is voted on by the league's head coaches.

E&H returns five players from last year's squad and has added two freshmen to the team that look to help the Wasps take their play to the next level. Emory & Henry finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 3-16 and 1-11 in the SAC.
Defending SAC Regular Season Champion Wingate University is first in the poll after receiving 11 of a possible 13 first-place votes. Defending SAC Tournament Champion Catawba College sits in second with the other two first-place nods while Lenoir-Rhyne University is in third place. Carson-Newman University and Newberry College sit in a tie for fourth position.
Limestone University has been chosen sixth, with Tusculum University, Anderson (S.C.) University and Coker University residing in the seventh, eighth and ninth place spots respectively. Lincoln Memorial slots in the 10th place position with UVA Wise close behind in 11th. Emory & Henry and Mars Hill University round out the poll in 12th and 13th.
Additionally, the SAC has announced its Players to Watch with freshmen Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) and Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) earning the nod for Emory & Henry.
The Wasps get their 2025 spring schedule underway on Tuesday, February 4 at home at the newly-renovated Richardson Tennis Courts against the Trailblazers of North Greenville University.
