KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry University Men's Tennis Team (1-2) and Women's Tennis Team (1-2) picked up a pair of road non-conference wins over Johnson (Tenn.) University Monday afternoon. Both teams earned victories by a 6-1 scoreline.

Men's Match
- Juniors Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) and Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) combined for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles while sophomore Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) teamed up with junior Diego Alvarez (Bogota, COLOMBIA) for a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles to give the Wasps the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.
- Sophomore Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) defeated Benjamin Barrios by a 7-5, 6-1 scoreline at No. 1 singles.
- Bayliss topped Miguel Sanchez Loo 6-0, 6-3 in straight sets at the No. 3 singles position.
- Spurling battled for a victory over Igor Parolis at No. 4 singles, winning in three sets 7-6 (10-8), 6-7 (2-7), 1-0 (10-7).
- Alvarez was victorious at the No. 5 singles position as he defeated Felippe Amore by a 6-2, 6-1 tally.
- Junior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) took down Levi Lubbers at the No. 6 singles spot in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4). 

Women's Match
- Senior Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) and freshman Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) won at No. 1 doubles by a 6-1 margin. Freshman Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) and sophomore Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) dominated their opponents for a 6-0 shutout win at No. 3 doubles to give E&H the doubles point and the early 1-0 advantage.
- Chernega dispatched Marina Lasneaux in straight sets at No. 1 singles by a dominant 6-1, 6-0 score.
- Sesma made quick work of Paola Testa at No. 2 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1.
- Kovacs continued the winning ways for the Wasps as she defeated Maria Ponce 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
- Pursley gutted out a three-set victory at No. 4 singles, beating Berkley Clark 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6).
- Sophomore Karlie Quinn (Mocksville, N.C.) rounded out the wins with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Bella Stigall at No. 5 singles.
