SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams continued the outdoor season on Friday and Saturday at the Terrier Relays, hosed by Wofford College. A total of 31 teams including many school in the NCAA Division I Southern Conference were in attendance. The Wasps saw eight new records on the men's side and five new records for the women's program set during the meet as 12 different athletes finished in the top 25 of their respective events.

The Men
On Friday afternoon, junior Justin Fannon (Abindgon, Va.) led a flight of five E&H shot-putters with a record throw of 14.01 meters to finish ninth. Saturday, sophomore Markell Moss (Wytheville, Va.) posted a new record in the long jump at 5.99 meters while freshman Edward Rajner (Bainbridge, N.Y.) was 10th in the discus (41.12m) for a new record. Freshman Cooper Saunders (Charlottesville, Va.) finished 25th in the javelin with a throw of 31.73 meters.
On the track, the relay of Moss, freshman Jay Kreimes (Sharps, Va.), freshman Deonte Geddis (Summerville, S.C.) and freshman Ahdonis Turay (Manassas, Va.) clocked a :44.34 in the 4x100 to establish a school mark and finish 13th. Sophomores Jackson Kaze (Midlothian, Va.) and Conor White (Warrenton, Va.) went 4:20.96 and :51.96 in the 1,500 meters and 400 meters, respectively for new records. Kreimes bested his own top mark in the 100 meters with a time of :11.20, which was good for 23rd.
The Women
Freshman Lorin Zehr (Holly Pond, Ala.) put up a mark of 24.41 meters in the hammer for a new record and also threw 9.22 meters in the shot put. Freshman Taylor Gilbert (Abingdon, Va.) made her track & field debut clearing 1.50 meters in the high jump.
Junior Graysen Barrs (Abingdon, Va.) went :13.64 to establish a school record in the 100 meters while sophomore Madison Jackson (Edmeston, N.Y.) clocked a 1:16.77 in the 400 meters for a E&H best. Sophomore Alette McGuire (Chesapeake, Va.) and junior Erica Grupp (Charlottesville, Va.) each went under the previous record in the 1,500 meters with McGuire earning the new standard of 5:26.96.
