
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Indoor Track and Field Team has been picked to finish 11th in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Thursday.

As a full member of NCAA Division II, Emory & Henry student-athletes are now eligible to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship meet.
Defending SAC Champion Wingate University is picked to win the league with 12 of 13 first-place votes. Lenoir-Rhyne University is second with the final first-place vote while Carson-Newman University is third and Catawba College round out the top four positions, respectively.
Additionally, the SAC has announced its Athletes to Watch List with junior Delaney Eller (Salem, Va.) and freshmen Aiyana Blakey (Woodbridge, Va.) and Mia Spangler (Floyd, Va.) making the list for the Wasps.
Emory & Henry will get the season started on Saturday, January 18 at the VMI Team Challenge on the campus of Virginia Military Institute.
