WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Emory & Henry University Track & Field Teams got their indoor season started on Sunday at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational at JDL Fast Track. The Wasps saw seven school records fall during the meet, four on the women's side and three on the men's.

Top Men's Performances
- Sophomore Drew Craft (Covington, Va.) broke a pair of school records in his season debut, finishing ninth in the high jump at 1.88 meters and 12th in the long jump with a leap of 6.41 meters.
- Junior Miles Baldwin (Willis, Va.) posted a 9:05.12 in the 3,000 meters to set a new program best, finishing 18th overall.
- Junior Zavery Wallace (Buena Vista, Va.) was third in the weight throw at 16.92 meters and took eight in the shot put with a mark of 13.81 meters while junior Gavin Lee (North Tazewell, Va.) placed fourth in the weight throw at 16.60 meters.
- Freshman Hayden Pugh (Louisa, Va.) ran the 800 meters in 1:59.10 to finish eighth with junior Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) finishing 10th in the mile at 4:31.61.
- The 4x400 meter relay of sophomore Cody Pecina (Hayter's Gap, Va.), sophomore T.J. Pecina (Hayter's Gap, Va.), sophomore Hillis Roberson, IV (Rosenburg, Texas) and senior Aaron Wilson (Chester, Va.) finished sixth with a time of 3:33.32.

Women's Top Performances
- Junior Delaney Eller (Salem, Va.) shattered two of her own program records, finishing second in the mile at 5:06.08 and fourth in the 3,000 meters at 10:12.16.
- Freshman Mia Spangler (Floyd, Va.) burst onto the scene with records in the triple jump (10.32m) and the long jump (4.80m) to take eighth and 15th, respectively.
