
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Emory & Henry University junior Delaney Eller has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, SAC officials announced Tuesday. This year, the SAC Player of the Week is being sponsored by WePlayed Sports.
This marks the first time in the history of the program that an Emory & Henry women's track & field athlete has received weekly honors from the conference office. It is Eller's second award from the SAC as she was honored on September 27, 2022 for her accomplishments in cross country.

On Sunday at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational, the Salem, Virginia native was the top NCAA Division II finisher in the mile run and second overall with a time of 5:06.08. That time broke her previous school record by 8.80 seconds.
Eller also tallied a record-breaking performance in the 3,000 meters, shattering her previous best by 17.44 seconds as she ran a 10:12.16 to finish fourth overall.
Emory & Henry returns to the track on Friday when it competes in day one of the Bast-Cregger Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College.
