The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team will host five separate camps during the summer of 2012. The camps will be directed by E&H Head Volleyball Coach Dan Clotfelter, who has led five teams to USAV Nationals and has been a feature presenter at multiple coaching clinics. Coach Clotfelter will be presenting at this year's Virginia coaching clinic on "Training Volleyball IQ Through Drills and Game Play."
Before coming to E&H, Coach Clotfelter was the Youth Development Director at A5 Volleyball in Atlanta, Georgia. Camp coaches will include current Emory & Henry players in addition to other experience coaches. Coach Clotfelter and his staff are also available for Site Camps for as little as $25 per camper per day. Wasp High School Team Camp - July 19-July 21 - Camp Handbook
Teams may choose between commuter ($60 per individual) and overnight ($160 per individual) camps. Teams are guaranteed six matches and Saturday play will be a tournament format. Both varsity and junior varsity squads are invited. Commuters will receive t-shirts and lunch on Friday and Saturday. Overnight teams will receive a t-shirt, six meals starting with dinner on Thursday evening. Registration will be handled by the high school coach or adminstrator. Introduction To Volleyball Camp - July 23 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
CAMP HAS COMBINED WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMP
This camp is appropriate for children who will be going into the fifth grade. Cost of the camp is $30 and includes a t-shirt and snack break. This should be a fun introduction in to the fundamentals of the game.
Middle School Camp - July 23 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
This camp is appropriate for rising sixth-eighth graders. The camp will focus primarily on skill development with some play/competition in the afternoon. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a t-shirt and lunch.
Advanced High School Camp - July 24 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
This camp is appropriate for rising freshman and sophomore players with some volleyball experience. The camp will focus on individual skill development in the morning session and team play/competition in the afternoon. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a t-shirt and lunch.
Elite High School Camp - July 25 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
This camp is appropriate for high school players with varsity experience or advanced club experience (mostly rising juniors and seniors). The camp will focus on individual skill development in the morning session and team play/competition in the afternoon. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a t-shirt and lunch.
