ASTON, Pa. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball team has seen two of its members named to the Knights Fall Classic All-Tournament Team, Neumann University officials announced Monday.

Sophomore outside hitter Tristen Pennington (Kingsport, Tenn.) and sophomore middle Kennady Thomason (Chattanooga, Tenn.) were among the seven players recognized as they led the Wasps to a 3-0 mark on the weekend.

Emory & Henry defeated Ursinus College, 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23) on Friday evening. The Wasps took down the host Neumann Knights, 3-1 (25-12, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23) and the Rutgers University-Camden Raptors, 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-23) Saturday.

Pennington tallied 28 kills on the weekend, averaging 2.55 kills per set. She posted a double-double with 14 kills and 17 digs on Friday against Ursinus and also added three service aces. The Kingsport, Tennessee native also notched 12 kills, three aces and two blocks against Neumann Saturday morning. She averaged 2.73 digs, .64 aces and .27 blocks over the weekend.

Thomason attacked at a .290 percentage from her position in the middle, putting down 2.82 kills per set. She had 10 kills and four blocks against Neumann while posting 12 kills and four blocks in the match against Rutgers-Camden. The sophomore also had nine kills in Friday night's contest against Ursinus. For the weekend, Thomason notched 2.82 kills and .91 blocks per set.

Emory & Henry (14-8, 3-3 ODAC) will return to Old Dominion Athletic Conference play when it hosts Bridgewater College on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The contest will also serve as the annual Dig Pink game in conjunction with the Side-Out Foundation to support breast cancer awareness and research.
