Emory & Henry Volleyball Drops A Pair At Home Saturday

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team (2-9, 0-2 ODAC) hosted a tri-match with Washington and Lee University and Brevard College on Saturday. The Wasps and Generals squared off in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match to start the day with W&L winning, 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-11). E&H fell to BC, 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19) in the final match of the day.

The Washington and Lee Match
Junior Rebecca Morehouse (Kingsport, Tenn.) led E&H with seven kills and three blocks. Senior outside hitter Ali Singleton (Mount Jackson, Va.) and junior right-side hitter Tori Holmberg (Wake Forest, N.C.) each had six kills. Junior setter Sam McCauley (Glade Spring, Va.) notched 20 assists.

The Brevard Match
In the Brevard match, Singleton posted a team-high 16 kills and made it a double-double with 11 digs. Holmberg had 10 kills while Morehouse added eight. McCauley posted 40 assists and 17 digs for a double-double of her own and added six kills. Sophomore libero Lauren Coolidge (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had 18 digs to lead the Wasps.
