EMORY, Va. – Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team and Head Coach Kyla King have released the Wasps' 2018 match schedule. This year, the E&H will play 28 matches with 11 taking place at the John Rutledge King Center.

For a second year in a row, the Wasps will begin the season at the River City Volleyball Tournament in Marietta, Ohio. The event is set to run from Friday, August 31 to Saturday, September 1 and will see E&H take on Marietta College, Kenyon College, Earlham College and Geneva College.
Emory & Henry has its first home match on Tuesday, September 4 when it hosts Southern Virginia University at 6:30 p.m. The Wasps are back on the road for the weekend of September 7-8 at the Brevard Invitational in Brevard, North Carolina for three matches against Brevard College, Pfeiffer University and Meredith College.
On Wednesday, September 12, E&H jumps into ODAC play at long-time rival Ferrum College. Emory & Henry returns home for a five-match homestand beginning with a 5:00 p.m., match on Saturday, September 15 against North Carolina Wesleyan College following the Wasps' first home football game of the season.
A mid-week league contest against Roanoke College (Tue., Sept. 18; 7:00 p.m.) will give way to a Friday evening showdown between the Wasps and Regent University (Sept. 21; 6:30 p.m.) and a tri-match on Sunday, September 23 against Guilford College and Maryville (Tenn.) College.
After travelling to face Eastern Mennonite University, the Wasps return to the King Center for a pair of ODAC matches against Virginia Wesleyan College (11:00 a.m.) and Randolph-Macon College (2:00 p.m.) on Saturday, September 29.
E&H will visit Washington and Lee University on Wednesday, October 3 before stepping out of NCAA play with a tri-match at Milligan College against the Buffaloes and St. Andrews University on Saturday, October 6.
The Wasps will host Hollins University on Tuesday, October 9 (7:00 p.m.) before a five-match road trip. During that span, Emory & Henry will take on Randolph College, Shenandoah University and the University of Lynchburg.
E&H will close out the regular season with a pair of home matches. Bridgewater College will come to town on Wednesday, October 24 for a 6:30 p.m., start while a contest against Mid-Atlantic Christian University will serve as Senior Night on Friday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m.
The 2018 ODAC Tournament will take place during the crossover week between October and November. The quarterfinals will be held at the higher seeds on Wednesday, October 31 with the semifinals and championship scheduled for Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3 at the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals.
