Bridgewater Volleyball Beats Emory & Henry, 3-0, Thursday In ODAC Action

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College Volleyball Team (23-5, 9-3 ODAC) assured itself of a top-four seed in the upcoming Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament with a 3-0 win against Emory & Henry College (8-17, 4-8 ODAC) Thursday evening. The Wasps will finish a tie for eighth place in the league standings.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Sophomore outside hitter Delaini Nagy (Clover, S.C.) had five kills while sophomore outside hitter Chelsie Crussell (Kingsport, Tenn.) and freshman outside hitter Savanah Keesee (Madison Heights, Va.) added four kills each. Keesee also notched a pair of aces, two blocks and 10 digs.
- Freshman setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) dished out 13 assists while senior libero Lauren Coolidge (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had 10 digs and an ace.

Bridgewater Individual Leaders
- Rachel Gaston posted a match-high 16 kills and had six digs while a trio of Eagles added five kills each.
- Grace Hayes had 28 assists and seven digs while Jessa Bissmeyer notched 13 digs and two aces.

Up Next
- Emory & Henry will close out the regular season on Sunday with a tri-match against The University of the South (11:00 a.m.) and Salem (N.C.) College (3:00 p.m.).
- The Wasps will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match against Salem.
