BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team (2-4) dropped its pair of matches in the final day of the King Invitational Saturday. The Wasps came up short, 3-2, in a five-set thriller to host King (Tenn.) University (2-2) to start the day and lost a 3-0 decision to Mars Hill University (7-1) to conclude the tournament.

The King (Tenn.) Match
- Sophomore middle Hannah Watson (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the Wasps with 15 kills, and five blocks.
- Junior right-side hitter Carley Williams (Bristol, Tenn.) had 12 kills while freshman outside hitter Camden Jones (Bristol, Va.) notched 12 kills and 15 digs for a double-double.
- Junior setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) dished out 18 assists and had eight digs as freshman setter Paige Halcrow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) posted 15 assists and 11 digs.
- Sophomore libero Abbie Hutzler (Fairview, N.C.) went for 30 digs.
The Mars Hill Match
- Williams had a team-high eight kills and one block while Jones added five kills and 10 digs.
- Halcrow went for 11 assists and 13 digs while Snapp recorded nine assists and two aces.
- Hutzler tacked on 15 digs, three aces and two assists.
