Emory & Henry Volleyball Goes 1-1 In Day Two Of The Wasps Classic Saturday

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Volleyball Team (6-9) split its pair of matches on the final day of the Wasps Classic Saturday. E&H defeated Regent University (3-7) by a 3-1 score to open the day before falling to three-time defending NCCAA National Champion Bob Jones University (16-4) by a 3-1 score in the nightcap.

The Regent Match
- Sophomore middle Hannah Watson (Kingsport, Tenn.) led the Wasps with 16 kills on a .481 (16-3-27) hitting percentage and six blocks.
- Freshman outside hitter Camden Jones (Bristol, Va.) had 12 kills and 12 digs for a double-double as junior right-side hitter Carley Williams (Bristol, Va.) went for 11 kills and three blocks.
- Freshman setter Paige Halcrow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) posted 25 assists, nine digs and two aces while junior setter Marissa Snapp (Chuckey, Tenn.) had 20 assists and seven digs.
- Junior Savanah Keesee (Madison Heights, Va.) went for 11 digs and sophomore Sarah Moore (Kingsport, Tenn.) tacked on 17 digs.

The Bob Jones Match
- Williams put up 18 kills with a .333 (18-4-42) hitting percentage while Watson had 13 kills and three blocks.
- Keesee posted a double-double with 11 kills, 15 digs and three aces as Moore went for 20 digs.
- Halcrow had a double-double of her own with 26 assists and 12 digs while Snapp tacked on 21 assists and seven digs.

- Emory & Henry will next compete on Tuesday when it visits the University of Virginia's College at Wise. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
