How It Happened
- The Wasps came out of the gates strong as they gave the Division I 49ers all they could handle in the first set. First to 25 was not enough as the home team needed an extra point to secure the first set win by a narrow 26-24 margin. E&H continued its strong play through the second and third sets as both the Wasps' returners and sizable freshman class showed that they could compete with the upper echelon of competition in the NCAA. After a tough fourth set, the Wasps bounced back as they controlled the stanza and once more forced extra points. The home team was able to escape and clinch the final set by another 26-24 scoreline.
