- Once again the Wasps bounced back to control the fourth set as they led by nine points at 18-9 and again at 23-14. A four point streak from Adelphi closed the margin to five, but E&H finished off the frame by capitalizing on a pair of Panther errors to tie up the match at two sets apiece and force a deciding fifth stanza.
- The fifth set began as a back-and-forth affair which left the tally deadlocked at 6-6 in the opening stages. The Panthers would go on to win nine of the final 11 points to clinch the set and match three sets to two.
- Fifth-year outside hitter Brianna Hogan (Front Royal, Va.) led the Wasps with 11 kills, five digs and a pair of blocks. Sophomore front row Grace Duey (Tega Cay, S.C.) posted nine kills, five digs, two service aces, one assist and a block.

The Saint Leo Match

- E&H jumped on Saint Leo early on in the second frame to scamper out to an 11-2 advantage. The Lions would not go down easily as they battled back to draw the match level at 15-15 and again at 20-20 as the teams headed down the stretch of the set. Saint Leo nosed ahead 24-23, but the Wasps closed things out on the back of a pair of kills from Duey and sophomore front row Haley Harnichar (Sevierville, Tenn.) to take a two-set lead.
- The Lions won seven of the opening ten points of the third set to establish a lead that they would not relinquish throughout the frame. Saint Leo pushed its lead out to as many as eight as they took the set 25-21.
- The fourth set was another tight affair early on as the teams were tied on seven separate occasions and the score stood all square at 11-11. An 8-2 run from the Lions saw them take a controlling lead and they did not look back, taking the set 25-18.
- Saint Leo was hot to start the fifth and deciding set as they won five of the initial six points. The Lions continued to extend their lead out to eight at 12-4. The Wasps would go on a run of their own to close the deficit to four at 13-9, but back-to-back kills from Saint Leo would close things out as the Lions won the match by a three sets to two final score.
