FERRUM, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Wrestling Team (1-4) made history on Friday afternoon, picking up its first-ever dual-match win in a tri-match at Ferrum College. The Wasps defeated the Panthers, 14-10, and were edged by the Greensboro College Pride, 7-6.

- The Wasps earned a pair of wins by forfeit as freshman Dafne Aguilar Martinez (Pharr, Texas) won at 123 pounds and freshman MaryAnne Walker (Manchester, Tenn.) picked up a victory at 130 pounds.
- Ferrum tied things up, 10-10, as it took forfeit wins at the 136- and 170-pound weight class.
- At 191 pounds, Emory & Henry junior Andreia Langley (Chilhowie, Va.) blanked her opponent, winning, 11-0, by technical superiority to seal the team victory.
- Langley and freshman Emma Lozada (Princeton, Texas) both added exhibition wins by fall late in the first period while Walker dropped a match by fall early in the first.

- E&H opened the action as Langley won a match by forfeit to take a 5-0 lead.
- At 123, Aguilar lost by technical superiority, 10-0, as the Pride drew the score to 5-4.
- Walker suffered a 6-2 decision at 130 pounds as GC completed the win 7-6.
