Emory & Henry Women’s Wrestling Participates At Lady Saints Individual Open

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Wrestling Team competed in its penultimate regular-season event on Sunday, sending four wrestlers to the Lady Saints Invitational. Limestone University served as the host for the event.

123-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman Dafne Aguilar Martinez (Pharr, Texas) finished 1-2 on the day to tie for fifth overall. She picked up her win in a 12-3 decision in the first consolation round.

130-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman MaryAnne Walker (Manchester, Tenn.) opened the day with a win by fall before moving to the consolation bracket. She reached the third consolation round, finishing tied for seventh.

136-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman Maddie Quiroga (Mercedes, Texas) tied for fifth in her first action since December. She posted a 1-2 record to tie for fifth, picking up a pin in 30 seconds in the first consolation round.

191-Pound Weight Class
- Junior Andreia Langley (Chilhowie, Va.) took fifth in the event which was contested in a round-robin format.
