No. 2 King Women's Wrestling Defeats Emory & Henry, 42-5, Wednesday Afternoon

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Wrestling Team (2-5) returned to action on Wednesday afternoon with a dual match against No. 2 King (Tenn.) University (1-0). The national-powerhouse Tornado won nine of the 10 weight classes on their way to a 42-5 team victory.

The Match
- The Tornado opened the dual with a 30-5 advantage due to seven forfeits in unfilled weight classes. Wasp freshman Brittney Reed (Sandston, Va.) picked up a win by forfeit at 191 pounds.
- Freshman Ella Tallent (Dandridge, Tenn.) dropped a decision by a 6-0 score to number-four ranked Tiffani Baublitz at the 170-pound weight class.
- At 130 pounds, King's Vayle-rae Baker, the No. 4-ranked wrestler in the country at her weight class, defeated freshman Ava Thomas (Stafford, Va.), 10-0, by technical superiority in 2:33.
- The third official bout of the evening was at 136 pounds. E&H sophomore Dafne Aguilar Martinez (Pfarr, Texas) fell in 51 seconds to second-ranked Montana DeLawder.

Extra Bouts
- Thomas and sophomore Emma Lozada (Princeton, Texas) lost their extra bouts by fall while Aguilar Martinez suffered a loss by technical superiority to No. 5 Viktorya Torres.
