Emory & Henry Women's Wrestling Earns A Pair Of Wins At Liberty Quad

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The T-No. 24 Emory & Henry College Women's Wrestling Team (5-1) posted a pair of wins in a quadrangular dual event hosted by Liberty University on Saturday, November 18.  The Wasps defeated the host Flames by a 34-10 margin and blanked Utica University, 35-0. E&H fell to Brewton-Parker College by a 30-18 margin.

The Liberty Match
- Emory & Henry opened the match with a 15-10 lead due to unfilled weight classes.
- The Wasps saw freshman Natalia Sanchez (Powhatan, Va.) earn a 10-0 victory at 116 by technical superiority in 37 seconds.
- The next three bouts went E&H's direction all by way of fall. Junior Skie Roulo (Chesterfield, Va.) won her bout at 143 in 29 seconds while freshman Molly Keller (Fairlawn, Va.) pinned her opponent in 1:31 at 155 pounds. Fifth-year Andreia Langley (Chilhowie, Va.) closed things out with a win at 170 pounds in 1:21.
- The Wasps also wrestled five exhibition matches against the Flames. Freshman Madison Wilson (Henrico, Va.) picked up a 10-0 technical superiority win at 130 pounds. Freshman Mak Robinson (Spotsylvania, Va.) and sophomore Brittney Reed (Sandston, Va.) won by fall at 155 and 191, respectively.

The Brewton-Parker Match
- The Barons took a 15-10 lead to start the match due to unfilled weight classes.
- Sanchez earned her second win of the day by tech fall (10-0; 1:15).
- Keller grabbed a 10-0 technical superiority victory of her own in 1:23.

The Utica Match
- The Wasps won the match before it even began, with six victories by forfeit for a 30-0 lead.
- Roulo dominated her opponent at 143, pinning her in 12 seconds.

Up Next
- Emory & Henry returns to action on Wednesday, December 6 when it hosts Emmanuel (Ga.) University in a doubleheader with the men's squad. The women's match will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the men to follow.
