MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Wrestling Team posted a pair of wins and a trio of runner-up finishes at the Red Lady Open hosted by Huntingdon College on Sunday. A total of 13 wrestlers represented the Wasps across eight weight classes.

109-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman Mallory Howard (Millington, Tenn.) lost in the quarterfinals by technical fall, 10-0, to Elora Waterman of Brewton-Parker. She progressed through the consolation bracket before dropping the consolation semifinals to find herself in the fifth-place bout. In that matchup, she defeated teammate Haley Viars by fall in 5:20.
- Freshman Haley Viars (King William, Va.) fell in the quarterfinals by fall in 1:09 to BPC's Tashayla West. She topped Jaylynn Sunseri also of Brewton-Parker in 2:21, but lost to Waterman by technical superiority, 20-8. Viars finished sixth in the event with her loss to Howard.
116-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman Natalia Sanchez (Powhatan, Va.) went 2-1 on the day in round-robin action to finish second. She earned a 12-2 win over Huntingdon's Elizabeth Hollett and pinned Brewton-Parker's Tatiana Garcia in 55 seconds.
123-Pound Weight Class
- Sophomore Alanna Jennings (Ashland, Va.) placed fourth in her first action of the season. She lost in the quarterfinals but earned a win by fall over Emma Thomas of Huntingdon in 1:45 to make it to the third-place bout. Jennings lost for a second time to Lincoln Memorial's Ashley Morris (53 seconds) to take fourth.
- Freshman Madison Wilson (Henrico, Va.) went 1-2 on the day, losing her first two matchups. In the fifth-place bout she pinned Thomas in 1:29 to get the win.
130-Pound Weight Class
- Sophomore Ava Thomas (Stafford, Va.) picked up a pair of victories by pin to advance to the championship bout, defeating Angellina Knepp from Huntington (3:33) and Calista Gibson of Lincoln Memorial (0:51). She concluded the tournament in second place, losing a 10-2 decision to St. Andrews' Tonya Flourory.
143-Pound Weight Class
- Junior Skie Roulo (Chesterfield, Va.) gave E&H its first overall winner of the day, going 3-0. She pinned St. Andrews' Teresa Dawn in 1:27 and Caden Collett from Huntingdon in 1:38 while also picking up a win by forfeit.
155-Pound Weight Class
- Freshman Molly Keller (Fairlawn, Va.) dominated her pair of opponents, earning a semifinal victory over Jenna Blinkiewicz from Lincoln Memorial in 49 seconds. She claimed the title with a 11-0 technical superiority win against Huntingdon's Savannah Pitts in 3:15.
- Freshman Mak Robinson (Spotsylvania, Va.) dropped her semifinal bout to Pitts in 2:55. She lost in the consolation semifinals by fall (1:12) before taking sixth in the division after losing to Blinkiewicz in 5:31 by fall.
170-Pound Weight Class
- Sophomore Katie Gakin (Aberdeen, Wash.) took third in round-robin competition, losing 10-3 to St. Andrews' Gabrielle Holloway and 6-0 to Riauna Lugo from Huntingdon. She earned a forfeit victory against JahMya Hill from Allen University.
191-Pound Weight Class
- Sophomore Brittney Reed (Sandston, Va.) posted a 3-1 mark in round-robin action to finish second. She earned a win by pin (4:25) over Stephanie Gonzalez-Galvan from Allen and picked up a pair of victories by decision against teammates Eryn Hubble (6-1) and Ella Tallent (6-2).
- Sophomore Eryn Hubble (Leesburg, Va.) went 2-2 on the day, defeating Tallent by technical superiority (10-0) and also earning a victory by forfeit.
- Sophomore Ella Tallent (Dandridge, Tenn.) grabbed an injury victory to finish the day 1-3.
