CLINTON, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Women's Wrestling Team competed at the Blue Hose Challenge. The Wasps gutted out a 12th place finish in a contest that featured notable heavy hitters, including the #1 Iowa Hawkeyes and #5 Presbyterian Blue Hose.

124 Pounds
- Junior Madison Wilson (Henrico, Va.) went the distance in her first match of the day falling by an 18-16 decision to Allen's Rihanna Loomis. Wilson would drop her next match to Life's Sidney Sullins by pin in the 1st period.
- Junior Natalia Langer (Powhatan, Va.) fell in her first bout of the day to Emmanuel's Betty Cherry by fall. Langer bounced back in her next bout against Lindsey Wilson's Najette Mojica Soto by technical superiority 12-1. Langer's day would end in the next round after being pinned by Campbellsville's Addison Messerly.
131 Pounds
- Junior Mak Robinson (Spotsylvania, Va.) dropped both of her opening bouts, the first by fall to Life's Lexy Pabon and the second to Angelina Knepp from Huntingdon by technical superiority 10-0.
- Freshman Tana Loving (Fredericksburg, Va.) was defeated in both of her bouts by fall to Mount Olive's Adrianna Lloyd and Lincoln Memorial's Sophia Walls.
- Freshman Kailyn Pond (Location) was pinned in both of her bouts to Olivia Messerly from Campbellsville and Isis Severe from Allen.
145 Pounds
- Freshman Isabella Hill (Insert Location) started her day on the right foot with an 11-0 technical superiority victory over Lincoln Memorial's Shonticia Taft. In the next round Hill met her match in Delarae's State's Louise Juitt, being pinned late in the 1st period.
- Junior Molly Keller (Fairlawn, Va.) cruised to a victory in her first bout, pinning Isabela Da Costa in just over 1 minute. Keller fell behind early in her next bout and could not recover against Indiana Tech's Hayden Newberg, Keller fell by technical superiority 11-0. Molly came back swinging against Lincoln Memorial's Shonticia Taft, winning by technical superiority 10-0. However Keller's day would end in her next bout where she was defeated by technical superiority 11-0 by Gabriella Perez from Campbellsville.
160 Pounds
- Freshman Maggie Page (Radford, Va.) rattled off two straight pinfall victories over Kyrra Shipman-Lutz and Allen's Rakiyah Young. In her next bout Page would be pinned by Kaylie Hall from Presbyterian. In the consolation bracket Page won her first bout by pin over Emmanuel's Alexzandriyah Kekoanui in 2:09 before being pinned herself by Delaware State's Aniya Mciver in the first period.
180 Pounds
- Junior Eryn Hubble (Leesburg, Va.) pinned her first opponent, Irie Edwards from Newberry, in 19 seconds. In her next bout Hubble would be defeated by technical superiority 11-1 against Makayla Vasser. Eryn would win her next bout by fall in the closing seconds of the second round before her day ended in the next round where she was pinned by Campbellsville's Desi Lee.
- Senior Ella Tallent (Dandridge, Tenn.) dropped both of her matches one by fall and the other by technical superiority to Savannah Oxendine and Campbellsville's Desi Lee.
207 Pounds
- Freshman Allison Gabarrete (Jeffersonton, Va.) was defeated in her first bout of the day by fall to Life's Anetra Witherspoon. Gabarrete would bounce back in her next contest pinning Mount Olive's Zaria Robinson midway through the 1st period, before falling to Mount Olive's Andrea Smith in the next round.
- 5th Year Emma Lozada (Princeton, Texas) got her season kicked off the right way with a pinfall victory over Delaware State's Christina Lisboa in the final seconds of the 1st Period. Lozada would be pinned in her next bout by Emmanuel's Gemma Templeman. In the consolation bracket Lozada won her first bout by caution over Allen's Janya Rolland. Lozada's day would come to an end in the next round where she would be pinned by Mount Olive's Andrea Smith.
