EMORY, Va. – In conjunction with the Old Dominion Athletic Conference office, the Emory & Henry College Department of Athletics wishes to honor seniors whose seasons were unexpectedly cut short this spring by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

RELATED - ODAC Baseball Senior Recognition

Our recognitions continue today with baseball. The Wasps held a 5-9 record with an 0-2 mark against ODAC foes when the season was halted.  Highlighting the campaign was a doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, February 22 which included a walk-off 4-3 victory in game one. Emory & Henry cruised in the second game of the series 12-1. The Wasps also earned a 13-4 win at Covenant College, a 6-4 victory over Johnson University and an 8-5 victory against SUNY Fredonia on the year.

 

Dan Roy Boggs

Dan Roy is a native of Abingdon, Virginia and a graduate of Abingdon High School. A four-year member of the baseball team, his favorite memory is the comraderie found with his teammates on road trips, in the locker room and in the bullpen. Dylan is a member of the Sigma Iota fraternity and is a geography major. He plans to pursue a career in professional land surveying.

 

  

 

Ethan Cave

Ethan is a native of Jonesville, Virginia and a graduate of Lee High School. A four-year letterwinner for the Wasps and a member of the 2016-17 ODAC All-Academic Team, his best baseball memory is "Freshman Idol." An environmental science major, Ethan plans to use his degree as he "plays in the dirt."

 

 

  

 

Dylan Felty

Dylan is a native of Bristol, Virginia and a graduate of John S. Battle High School. After spending two years with the E&H men's basketball team, Dylan joined the baseball team this winter. He is also a two-time member of the ODAC All-Academic Team. His best baseball memory is when the pitchers threw batting practice. A business management major, Dylan plans to work with his father in the family insurance agency.

 

 

 

  

Chandler Kezele

Chandler is a native of Marshall, Virignia and a graduate of Faquier High School. He is a four-year player for the Wasps, spending time on the mound, at first base and in the outfield. Chandler is also a member of the strength & conditioning club. His favorite best memory is hitting his first home run his freshman year against Albertus Magnus in Myrtle Beach. A physics major and mathematics minor, Chandler plans to return to Emory & Henry next year, complete his degree in mathematics and play another year of baseball.

 

  

 

Alex Laws

Alex is a native of Hudson, North Carolina and a graduate of South Caldwell High School. A four-year member of the baseball team and a 2018-19 ODAC All-Academic Team selection, Alex's favorite baseball memory is "Freshman Idol." A sport management major, he plans to attend graduate school and earn a Master in Business Administration.

 

  

 

 

Toby Robson

Toby is a native of Blythewood, South Carolina and a graduate of Blythewood High School. A four-year letterwinner and a member of the 2017-18 ODAC All-Academic Team, Toby's best memories are road trips with the team. He is an environmental science major and plans to work in the environmental field for a few years then pursue a graduate degree in environmental engineering.

 

  

 

 

Ty Spires

Ty is a native of Lancaster, Ohio and a graduate of Lancaster High School. A four-year member of the baseball team and part of the 2017-18 ODAC All-Academic Team, Ty is also part of the strength & conditioning club and, EHC-TV, and  work-study in the Department of Athletics. His best baseball memories are road trips with the boys. A mass communications and business management double major, Ty plans to go into video advertising.

 

 

 

  

Caleb Wallace

Caleb is a native of Mocksville, North Carolina and a graduate of Davie County High School. A four-year member of the baseball team and three-time selection to the ODAC All-Academic Team, Caleb is also part of the E&H Honors Program. His favorite memories of baseball were competing alongside his teammates. "Every time we stepped across the line, I loved every second of it." A mathematics and economics double major, Caleb plans to attend UNC Charlotte to pursue a master's degree in economics.
