SALEM, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams competed at the Maroon Invitational hosted by Roanoke College Saturday. The E&H men finished sixth out of eight teams.
The Wasps were led by senior Kéran Billaud (Dublin, Va.) as he covered the 8K course in 29:52 to finish 10th overall. Sophomore Cole Conley (Floyd, Va.) finished 28th as well for E&H (32:15).
Roanoke’s Tim Smith took home medalist honors with a 27:06 and led the Maroons to the team title.
On the women’s side, Emory & Henry was led by sophomore Kaitlyn Phibbs (Saltville, Va.), who finished the 5K race in 26:02 for a 38th-place finish.
The Wasps will return to competition on Saturday when they travel to Maryville, Tenn., to race in the Maryville College Invitational.
