Emory & Henry Cross Country Announces 2021 Season Schedule

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams are pleased to announce their meet schedule for the 2021 season. Led by Head Coach Leroy Worley and Assistant Coach Troy Taylor, the Wasps begin their transition to NCAA Division II with a slate of six meets which will be held in three different states this fall.

E&H will be back on the trail for the first time since November of 2019 as the team 'opted-out' of competition for the 2020-21 academic year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The first meet will be familiar for the Wasps as they visit Harrisonburg, Virginia on Friday, September 3 to compete in the EMU Mennonite Heritage XC Invitational.

Next up for E&H is Methodist University's Monarch Cross Country Classic on Saturday, September 11 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The Wasps get their first taste of Division II Southeast Region competition on Saturday, September 18 in the Converse Kick Off which will be held at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

A return trip north on Interstate 81 to Winchester, Virginia awaits on Saturday, September 25 as Emory & Henry competes at the Hornet Harrier Invitational at the Kernstown Battlefield. Shenandoah University will serve as the host school.

For the third straight competitive season, the Wasps make the trip to the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina and McAlpine Creek Park to run in the Royals Cross Country Challenge on Friday, October 8.

Emory & Henry will close out the year on Friday, October 15 in the Roanoke XC Invitational at Green Hill Park in Salem, Virginia.
