ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Indoor Track and Field Team has been picked to finish 12th in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Friday.

E&H will compete in its first year as a member of the South Atlantic Conference during the 2022-23 season as it continues the transition from NCAA Division III to Division II. 

Lenoir-Rhyne University, which finished second at the 2022 SAC Championships, is picked to win the league with eight of 12 first-place votes. Wingate University is second with four first-place votes while Anderson (S.C.) University is third. Carson-Newman University rounds out the top-four positions.

Additionally, the SAC has announced its Athletes to Watch List with sophomore Michelle Diaz (Woodbridge, Va.) and freshmen Taylorann Cash (Buena Vista, Va.), Scarlett Eversley (Dumfries, Va.) and Madison Ricketts (Kingsport, Tenn.) making the list for the Wasps. 

Emory & Henry will open the season at the JDL College Kick-Off on December 4. The meet will take place at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
