ANDERSON, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Outdoor Track & Field Teams competed at the Electric City Invitational hosted by fellow South Atlantic Conference opponent Anderson (S.C.) University on Friday and Saturday. The men's team broke a program record and tied a second while finishing 16th. The women's squad was tied for 25th and broke four school bests while establishing the pole vault record.

Top Men's Performances
- Sophomore Zedrick Yeboah (Fredericksburg, Va.) finished 0.01 of a second off his program-best pace with a 23.02, good enough to finish 35th in the 200 meters.
- Freshman T.J. Pecina (Saltville, Va.) finished 23rd in the 400 meters with a time of 51.61.
- Freshman Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) picked up a 34th-place finish in the 800 meters with a 2:01.79 while fellow freshman Cody Pecina (Saltville, Va.) finished in 37th with a time of 2:03.24.
- Sophomore Aaron Wilson (Chester, Va.) was 13th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with his time of 10:40.85.
- Sophomore Gavin Lee (Tazewell, Va.) broke his own program record in the hammer throw as he launched a throw of 51.24 meters to finish in second place. Lee tied the school-best in the javelin with a 32.64 meters, good enough for 22nd. Lee also finished third in
the discus with his toss of 45.36 meters.
- Freshman Tyrique Taylor (Christiansburg, Va.) was 13th in the shot put with his throw of 12.72 meters.
Women's Top Performances
- Freshman Scarlett Eversley (Dumfries, Va.) was 15th in the 100-meter hurdles with her 16.41 and also was 25th in the 100 meters with a time of 13.55. Freshman Kylee Turman (Dublin, Va.) was 26th in the 100 meters with her 13.62. Turman also established a new program standard in the pole vault with a height of 2.35 meters, placing her ninth.
- Freshman Madison Ricketts (Kingsport, Tenn.) broke her own program-best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.06, good enough for ninth.
- Freshman Delaney Eller (Salem, Va.) smashed her own program record in the 800 meters with a 2:28.07 and finished in 19th.
- Freshman Elise McKinney (Church Hill, Tenn.) bested the program record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by over 30 seconds as she posted a time of 12:50.83 and picked up a 12th-place finish.
- Freshman Taylorann Cash (Buena Vista, Va.) topped the program record in the shot put with her toss of 10.18 meters to finish in 16th. Freshman Madison Osborne (Glade Spring, Va.) was 20th with her distance of 9.68 meters.
